The Carl Mirbach Memorial Scholarship at Norwalk Community College (NCC)
The Carl Mirbach Memorial Scholarship was established in honor and memory of a beloved member of CPG who passed away in October of 2016 after battling cancer and Guillain-Barre Syndrome. This Scholarship was initially funded in the fall of 2017 with $30,000 raised through a golf fundraiser. The CPG team volunteered with Homes With Hope (a Westport-based organization dedicated to ending homelessness in Fairfield County) to help redesign and remodel their community room. “We can’t thank you for the transformation of our community room space (as well as the clearing of invasive plants from the garden area and other parts of the property!) but I also want to reiterate how appreciative we are. Although we are not quite finished assembling and updating the furniture and hanging pictures, one of my students exclaimed as he walked in this morning, “It looks like a whole new space!” We cannot thank you all enough for your tremendous efforts on our behalf!
