Modern Preservation & Reinvention

A valued client since 2012, this investment advisory firm selected CPG to reinvent their home from a once deteriorating saddle shop into their state-of-the-art headquarters. Our goal: preserve the harmony of the exterior façade while restoring and adapting the space to meet the changing needs of the firm.


To maintain harmony with the adjacent buildings, the existing brick façade was preserved and highlighted with factory style windows, standing seam metal awnings, storefront entry, and exposed structural canopy — all in a sleek black finish. An inviting entry allows for an abundance of natural light.


  • Enhancements include safe pedestrian pathways with native plantings, new outdoor gathering points, IPE wood raised planting beds and stone walls to buffer and soften the site.
  • Technology and security improvements include, fast charging EV stations, a 280 KW backup generator and an exterior barrier arm gate to prevent unwanted parking on the property.


An efficient and crisp working environment with ample conferencing was created through:

  • An open plan layout with a monumental staircase and glass elevator enclosure allows light and visual connection throughout the building.
  • Light woods, clean lines and soothing colors as the backdrop for artwork.~A large lower-level pantry designed to interact with the outdoor spaces providing flexibility as entertainment space. 
It was a pleasure working with the Town of New Canaan through the Planning & Zoning process to help our client achieve their goals while balancing it with the Town’s aspirations.
